Cookie Policy

This page explains which cookies are installed while you read the mobee.it website and how you can manage them. The controller is Oglut S.r.l. (see the Privacy Policy).

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small text files that websites save on the device of whoever visits them. They're used to make the site work, to remember preferences and — in some cases — to collect statistics or show advertising.

2. Local storage and first-party cookies

The pages of mobee.it can be read without registering and without entering data: there's no session to maintain, so the site requires no first-party technical cookies. If you consent to measurement, Microsoft Clarity and the attribution tools may instead write the cookies described in section 3.

The only thing the site stores on your device is the choice you make on the cookie banner. It's not a cookie: it's an entry in the browser's local storage, called mobee_consent, never transmitted to any server, and it stays there until you change your choice or clear the site's data. It's there so you're not asked for consent on every page.

3. Statistics and advertising cookies, only with your consent

None of the cookies listed in this section are installed on your first visit: they're only activated if you choose "Accept all" on the banner. If you choose "Necessary only", or close the banner without choosing, they're not written — and the services behind them are not contacted at all.

Google

The site uses Google Analytics 4 to understand how many people visit it and which pages they read, and Google Ads to measure the results of advertising campaigns. Both are managed via Google Tag Manager, which by itself installs no cookies.

The durations shown are the default values declared by Google. The controller of these cookies is Google Ireland Ltd. and its notice is available at policies.google.com/privacy. Google may transfer data to the United States within its own group, with the safeguards provided under Chapter V of the GDPR.

Meta (Facebook and Instagram)

The site uses the Meta pixel to measure the results of advertising campaigns on Facebook and Instagram, and to show ads to people who have already visited the site (remarketing).

The controller of this cookie is Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland). Meta's cookie notice is available at facebook.com/privacy/policies/cookies and its general notice at facebook.com/privacy/policy. Meta may transfer data to the United States, with the safeguards provided under Chapter V of the GDPR.

The pixel is not governed by Google's Consent Mode described below, which only covers Google's tools: Meta's script is loaded by the site only after you choose to accept, and before that moment Meta's servers are not contacted at all.

Microsoft Clarity

The site uses Microsoft Clarity to produce heatmaps and session recordings and to understand, in aggregate, how pages are used. Clarity may record interactions such as clicks and scrolling; its script is loaded only after you choose "Accept all".

Playable recordings are retained for 30 days; aggregated click data, heatmaps and labeled or favorited sessions for 9 months. The service is provided by Microsoft Ireland Operations Limited and may involve transfers to the United States under standard contractual clauses. The current cookie list is in Microsoft's documentation.

OpenAI Ads and Mobee attribution cookies

The OpenAI Measurement Pixel measures page views and registration starts from campaigns on ChatGPT. After consent, the site also stores advertising identifiers received in the URL so they can be passed to registration on the partner.mobee.it subdomain. These cookies are neither written nor used without consent.

When consent is withdrawn, the site deletes the mobee_* attribution cookies. The OpenAI pixel also receives the withdrawal command provided by its SDK. OpenAI's privacy policy is at openai.com/policies/privacy-policy.

4. How consent works

The site uses Google's Consent Mode, configured so that statistics and advertising start switched off: until you choose, Google writes none of those cookies. On your first visit a banner appears with two options — accept everything, or continue with only the necessary tools.

You can change your mind at any time via the Cookie preferences link at the bottom of every page: it reopens the banner and replaces your previous choice.

5. Connections to external servers before your choice

The typefaces the site is set in are hosted on mobee.it: they are no longer loaded from Google Fonts, so reading the pages involves no communication to Google for this purpose.

Two connections to external servers do still happen before any choice on the banner, because they make the site work rather than measure or profile you. They install no cookies in mobee.it's name:

• form.oglut.com — on pages that contain a form (contact, newsletter, blog): it's the service, part of the controller's own group, that receives the submissions. It is loaded only on those pages.
• Google reCAPTCHA — on the same pages, to tell people apart from automated programs filling forms with spam. It means your IP address is sent to Google, and it may install a cookie in google.com's name (_GRECAPTCHA), which is a security cookie and serves neither advertising nor statistics. Google's notice is here.

On pages without a form — the home page, pricing, features, the business listings — no connection to these services is made before your choice.

6. Restaurants' online storefronts

The online storefront of a restaurant using Mobee is a separate application from this site and may use its own cookies, needed to manage the menu, cart and order. In that context, the data controller is the business, and the cookie information is whatever is published on that online storefront itself.

7. How to manage cookies from your browser

Besides the Cookie preferences link, you can block or delete cookies from your browser's settings. Browsing the site remains possible: blocking analytics cookies doesn't stop you from reading the pages.

8. Changes

This page is updated whenever the tools used by the site change. The update date is shown at the top.
